To my fellow Tennesseans…

As citizens of the Second District, we need leaders who have the knowledge, experience, and community background to bring common sense solutions to the challenges we face.

I am running for State Representative because I want to work with you in the Second District and in Nashville in identifying and resolving those challenges. Many of these challenges will require legislative action and solutions from our elected representatives in Nashville. However, many can be effectively dealt with by using the resources we have in our communities. Developing responses to these challenges will require a style of political leadership that is fresh, creative, and confident.

I believe I can provide that kind of leadership to address these challenges. By meeting and talking with as many of you as possible, I want to show you I will be a leader who will represent your values and beliefs, and who knows how to provide real solutions to the challenges we face in the Second District.

I have worked with communities who have faced specific problems that they resolved at the local level. In fact, I have been involved in many of those efforts over the years, working with citizens through community partnerships to find solutions to local problems. As your State Representative, I will continue to support and encourage these local initiates because I believe in being a "solution finder". I have faith in the good sense and civic commitment of my fellow citizens. I will also tackle those larger issues that cannot be resolved locally but require action by your representatives in Nashville. I know you are as dedicated as am I to building a better quality of life for all citizens in the Second District.
